Nostra from My Filmviews is bringing the holiday spirit this year and has created a Best Christmas Movie List relay. I get to be a part of it thanks to MettelRay, who gracefully handed the task to me! Find out which movie I decided to add to the list!
RULES:
* The list has 10 Christmas movies (in random order) and when the baton is handed over to a new blogger, he or she has to remove one title of the list (with an explanation why) and add one new title.
* Once that is done a new blogger is contacted who will take the baton and run with it, doing the same (you can reinstate a title which has been previously removed).
* As Christmas is in three weeks I want to ask you to publish your entry as quickly as possible to make sure the list changes as much as possible before the 25th of December. Add the logo of this relay race to your post and also add links to those who came before you making it easy for everyone to find all the entries.
The bloggers so far: Marked Movies, Keith and the Movies, Flixchatter, Rambling Film, Two Dollar Cinema, Dell on Movies, A Film a Day, Cinematic Corner, Oh So Geeky, MettelRay
Here are the current movies:
Die Hard
Elf
Love Actually
Home Alone
It’s a Wonderful Life
The Nightmare Before Christmas
A Christmas Story
Bridget Jones’s Diary
While You Were Sleeping
I’M TAKING OUT JOYEUX NOEL
I’m omitting this movie solely because I’ve never seen it nor heard of it.
I’M PUTTING IN SCROOGED
Scrooged is undoubtedly my favorite Christmas movie of all time – it’s a tale as old as time without the gimmicks or seriousness. It’s got one hell of a cast with the most memorable Scrooge himself, Frank Cross, played by the legendary Bill Murray. The film was actually a resurgence for Murray who had taken an imposed four-year exile from Hollywood and what a joyous return!
And I’m passing this holiday relay onto Robin at Filmotomy!
Always great to see Bil Murray in there.
What a fun idea! I’ve always loved Die Hard. Lost count at how many times I have seen it. Scrooged is such an amazingly fun film as well 😀
It pains my soul that Miracle on 34th Street isn’t on there. *sniff sniff
You have to watch Joyeux Noel, it’s one of the best Christmas movies ever!
Joyeux Noel is so good! I like the addition of Scrooged though. I was just watching that yesterday. I’m still hoping Gremlins makes it back in.
Can’t get better than It’s A Wonderful Life and Elf!
Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year, Courtney!
YESSSSSSSSSSSS! This was going to be my original pick (though I haven’t seen it in years), so I’m stoked that it eventually made it.
As for Joyeux Noel, this will be first movie I watch in December of 2018, I’m convinced. It better blow my holiday mind, as many fine people are vouching for it.
Merry (late) Christmas, and Happy New Year!!!
Yay same to you!!
SCROOGED is my favorite Christmas movie too!! Great list!
Awesome list but you forgot our favorite, “Surviving Christmas” with Ben Affleck and James Gandolfini. It’s so cheesy but it’s amazing! Check it out!
I agree with you
